Below are some of the events throughout our Benefice with a brief description about each one.  Please check our calendar to find the next available dates and further information.





Calling All Knitters! - Mary

Can you knit or do you know someone who can?  Last year we knitted over 1,000 Angels to hand out to people across our Benefice to remind them of the real reason for the season.  This year we are knitting 'Mary', so if you would like to join in please download a pattern HERE or alternatively you can collect a pattern from any of our churches.  Once your Mary is completed they can popped into the boxes in any of our churches.  Thank you and happy knitting!






Calling All Knitters! _ Poppies

We are commemorating the Centenary of the First World War with a knitted poppy display in Raunds (location still to be confirmed).  If you would like to help by knitting a poppy you can download a pattern HERE or alternatively you can collect a pattern from St Peter's Church in Raunds.  Once completed pop the poppy into the box in St Peter's Church.  Thank you and happy knitting!





Silent Disco Under the Moon
Friday 12th October, Peterborough Cathedral
We are taking a group of youngsters to Peterborough Cathedral for a Silent Disco under the Museum of the Moon.  If you are interested please let Rev. Jon, Simon or Esther know so that we can book tickets and a coach, we have about 20 children booked already.

Benefice Bible Study
Tuesday evenings (see dates below) at 7:30pm, Held at Xanadu (Nick & Savitri's house), Hargrave

We start on the 2nd October, then it will be the 16th October, 30th October, 6th November, 20th November & the 4th December.  The course is the Pilgrim Grow Stage: The Eucharist.  The course is open to all the churches in the Benefice.


Raunds Community Cafe and Food Bank

Every Thursday 9:30am -12 noon St Peter's Community Enterprise Centre (opp. SPAR)
Come and have a bacon roll, homemade cake etc.  Learn to crochet or just have a chat.  The Food Bank, along with debt advice, help with form filling etc is also available.  For further details contact 01933 730 160


T with Friends - Raunds
2pm - 3:30pm St Peter's Community Enterprise Centre (opposite SPAR)
Held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday's of the month.  Come along for tea/coffee and friendship.  Play Scrabble, cards, games or just have a chat.  All welcome.  For further details contact Peter Lane on 01933 460 259.


St Mary's Sunday School - Ringstead

This runs on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month (alongside the communion service) - all children welcome.  We meet at the beginning of the service in church and then move to the village hall, returning just before the end of the service (parents/carers of pre-school children need to accompany them to the village hall).

Mothers' Union - Raunds

Mothers' Union is an international Christian Charity that seeks to support families worldwide.  Our members are not all mothers, or even all women.  For all 4 million members, the Mothers' Union provides a network through which they can serve Christ in their own community - through prayer, financial and practical support.  The Raunds branch (now linked with Ringstead and Denford) has a loyal group of members who meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at St. Peters Community Enterprise Centre, High Street, Raunds at 2.30pm (unless stated otherwise).  Visitors and new members are always welcome.  For further details please contact Judy Heuser on 07840 666 385 or Nicki Phillips on 01933 625 658


Friday Club - Raunds

The Friday Club meets on the 3rd Friday of the month at various venues (please check calendar for venues).  It is a relaxed and friendly get together, sometimes there are outings, a guest speaker or a meal.  It is £1.50 per month or you can pay for the whole year, proceeds are then given to charities at Christmas time.  We are always pleased to see anyone who would like to come along to a meeting.  For further information please contact Pat Stuart on 07974 594 583 or email patriciastuart777@btinternet.com

 Spiritual Lunches - Raunds

The Spiritual Lunches are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 12 Heritage Way.  The lunches open with a prayer followed by a bible reading and then discussion and closes with a prayer of thanks for the bread and cheese lunch.  Donations made are given to charities every three months.  For further information please contact Peter Lane on 01933 460 259 or email jasperpeter@yahoo.co.uk

Friends of St. Peter's Church

Anyone can become a member of the Friends of St.Peter's Church the group was formed with the aim of raising money for St. Peter's Church, annual membership subscription is £5, for further details about the organization or who to contact please check out the Friends of St. Peter's page or see the calendar for a list of this year's activities.
